Shipping Policy
Shipping Areas & Dispatch
- Dispatch Schedule: To ensure your plant spends as little time as possible in a box, we only ship orders on Monday to Wednesday. Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST on Wednesday will typically ship the following Monday. This is to ensure they do not spend the weekend enroute. The exception to this is for express/gift shipping, where we will ship Monday - Thursday.
- Shipping Areas: We currently ship to all 10 Canadian provinces.
Shipping Rates & Methods
- Standard Expedited:1-4 business days
- Express: 1-2 business days
- Free Shipping: We offer complimentary shipping on orders over $100 CAD
Winter Shipping (November – April)
- Insulated Packaging: During cold months, all plants are automatically upgraded to insulated thermal packaging with 72-hour+ heat packs.
- Safe Weather Holds: If temperatures at our studio or your destination drop below safe levels (typically -15°C or lower), we will hold your shipment until the weather warms up. You will be notified via email if your order is on hold.
Returns and Refunds
Return Policy
Due to the perishable nature of living plants, we only accept returns of the vessels, with the damaged plant removed.
1. Healthy Plant Guarantee
We guarantee that your plant will arrive healthy and free of pests.
- Damaged on Arrival: If your plant arrives dead or damaged, please email us at hello@bylonia.com within 48 hours of delivery.
- Required Evidence: To process a claim, you must include your order number and clear photos of:
The damaged plant.
The shipping box (if damaged). - Resolution: We will issue a replacement plant or a store credit.
- Exclusions: Minor cosmetic damage (e.g., a single bruised leaf) that does not affect the plant's long-term health is not covered. We are not responsible for damage caused by packages left outside in extreme weather for extended periods after delivery.
- Returns: Vessels, tools, and non-living accessories may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition that you received them.
- Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
2. Non-Returnable Items
- Gift cards.
- Sale items (marked as "Final Sale").
- Plants that have been repotted or altered by the customer.
3. Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately.
- Before Dispatch: Full refund.
- After Dispatch: Once the courier has picked up the package, we cannot cancel or recall the order.
